As some of you may know, I was born in Colombia. I love my country, its people, its culture, carnivals, gastronomy and all the magical destinations that you can choose from to get married. For some couples, getting married in a cruise is their last option; for others, is a dream that can come true! I was not surprised when I realized that almost half of all wedding destinations take place in the Caribbean. Who is not familiar with names such as Jamaica, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, St. Thomas? Some of them have been the setting of international films and they have even been dedicated songs: “Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take ya. Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama. Key Largo, Montego, baby why don’t we go”.Ohh, this is already putting me in a good mood!
Who is not familiar with Hawaii and its famous spirit of Aloha’s. Hawaii has been the scene of many international films that have showcase it’s welcoming and friendly ambience, it’s stunning resorts and hotels and the quality of its services… But overall, it has always been known for its extensive natural diversity and magnificent beaches, some of them known for its clear blue calm waters and others for it’s crashing waves that have been designated the most famous surf and windsurfing spots of the world.
If you already visited Mexico, you know why is on the top 10 most visited countries according to the World Tourism Organization and why it occupies the 2nd international top wedding destinations with 21% after the Caribbean (43%).
